It was the 1970s, and I worked in the editorial department of "Cultural Weekly" , which also published publications treating health and medicine. And one day Dr. Wloszczewski /sociologist/, who after a long stay in the USA permanently returned to Poland, came to the editorial office. He was an enthusiast of chiropractic, manipulative therapy on the spine restoring full fitness . He believed that alternative /unconventional/ medicine brings great results in the treatment of many diseases. He was intensely active in a group of people who shared this belief, and it was led by Ed. Konarzewska. In this group was a professor of medicine promoting acupuncture, at that time a therapy that was not legalized, there were bioenergotherapists, experts in herbalism, there was Dr. Podbielski, who presented his micronutrient preparations proving their effectiveness in the therapy of strengthening the body's immunity, preventing many diseases, and even eliminating them. The beneficial effects of his preparations were confirmed by many people in the deed letters he presented and read at meetings of the group, of which I was also a participant, and which was intensively active for several years.
